FCC Industrial wins its first comprehensive maintenance contract for hospital installations in Tenerife

Contract awarded for maintenance of the mechanical installations in the Nuestra Señora de Candelaria University Hospital and the Hospital del Tórax, amongst others in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

FCC Industrial has been awarded the first comprehensive maintenance contract for the heating and air-conditioning installations, sanitary hot water, industrial steam and refrigeration for the installations in different hospitals in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

The contract includes prevention and control of legionnaire's disease in several healthcare facilities in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. The contract is worth over €1.8 million euros for a 2 year period.

The healthcare facilities included in the contract are the Nuestra Señora de Candelaria University Hospital and the Hospital del Tórax, amongst others. The contract awarded also includes maintenance of the electrical and mechanical installations in the various health centres on the island.

Installation maintenance specialists

This contract represents the first step in terms of specialisation in health sector-related installations maintenance for the industrial division of FCC, the Citizen Services group.

FCC Industrial currently has an extensive portfolio of installation maintenance in buildings, including: the Reina Sofia Museum, the National Library of Spain, the headquarters of the Cervantes Institute, the Teatro Real of Madrid, the Theatre of Maria Guerrero. Corporate headquarters of different companies such as Grupo Prisa, Torre Europa, Centro Integral Abbot, the head office of SANOFI-AVENTIS, amongst others.
