FCC Industrial has been the protagonist in the magazine Energetica XXI through the operation and maintenance activities that it develops in solar thermal plants and photovoltaic plants.

FCC Industrial operates and maintains two photovoltaic plants of 10 Megawatts of nominal power each year since the year 2.008. The photovoltaic plants located in Espejo (Córdoba) occupy an area of 90 hectares, with 129,200 panels interconnected in series of 17 panels, with an inclination of 30 degrees. The plants have 759 rows of panels that cover a total length of 102 kilometers.

FCC Industrial operates and maintains two solar thermal power plants of 49.9 megawatts / hour of nominal power each year. These plants have parabolic cylinder collector type technology, both were designed and built by FCC Industrial.

The Villena thermosolar plant, located in the province of Alicante, occupies an approximate area of 200 hectares. It has a solar field of more than 141,000 mirrors, which enables an area of energy capture of 360,000 square meters.

The Guzmán thermosolar plant, located in the town of Palma del Río (Córdoba), occupies an area of 897,000 square meters. Its solar field is composed of more than 129,000 mirrors, which forms an area of energy capture of 310,406 square meters.

These solar thermal plants constitute an important milestone that reflects the contribution of FCC Industrial to sustainability and energy efficiency.
