FCC Industrial and TotalEnergies begin the construction project of five photovoltaic plants

FCC Industrial and TotalEneegies have started the construction project of five photovoltaic plants in Guillena (Seville), with a total installed power of 263 MW that will prevent the emission of about 140,000 tons of CO2 into the atmosphere each year, contributing to creating a more environmentally friendly environment. sustainable and promoting renewable energies.

FCC Industrial will build five photovoltaic plants: Postigo (51 MW), Arbotante (52 MW), Pilastra (52 MW), La Noria (53 MW) and La Carrascosa (55 MW). In total, the facilities will have nearly 400,000 665Wp bifacial photovoltaic modules. Once in operation, the five parks will generate enough electrical energy to cover the estimated annual consumption of more than 150,000 homes.

During the construction of the photovoltaic installations, declared of strategic interest by the Government of Andalusia, more than 800 direct and indirect jobs will be created in the next 12 months.

For Total Energies, guaranteeing that the development of its solar parks is fully compatible with the protection of the biodiversity of the areas where they are installed is a priority and hallmark. In this phase prior to the construction of the five photovoltaic installations, preliminary studies are being carried out to understand the populations and habits of the local birdlife in order to establish the necessary compensatory measures.

FCC Industrial and Total Energies are developing a series of measures aimed at local communities near the solar parks that include everything from training plans to reduced electricity rates and the possibility of participating financially in the projects.
