FCC Industrial develops its photovoltaic business with a portfolio of 1,125 MWp of projects completed and under construction

  • The portfolio of photovoltaic dollar energy projects completed by FCC Industrial amounts to 180 MWp
  • The projects in progress exceed 975 MWp and correspond to eight photovoltaic plants distributed throughout Spain (six plants in Cáceres, one more in Palencia and another in Salamanca) that will prevent the emission of 750,000 tons of CO2 into the atmosphere per year.
  • FCC Industrial has been committed to photovoltaic solar technology for more than 25 years.
FCC Industrial develops its photovoltaic business with a portfolio of 1,125 MWp of projects completed and under construction

Today, FCC Industrial is developing various photovoltaic solar energy projects thanks to the award in 2021 of two solar projects (one in Caceres and the other in Salamanca) with a total capacity of 422 MWp and another six new projects (five in Caceres and another in Palencia) so far in 2022 with a total capacity of 555 MWp, in different parts of Spain. With all this, FCC Industrial extends its experience of almost 15 years in the photovoltaic sector by developing reference projects, which represent a total installed capacity of 1.2 GW.

Many of these projects are being developed by FCC Industrial in consortium with Abengoa and contemplate both the construction and commissioning of these plants which, thanks to their photovoltaic panels mounted on fixed structures in some cases and on solar trackers in others, will capture the energy from the sun and will transport it to a high-voltage photovoltaic substation that will feed the energy into the grid in an efficient and sustainable way. In short, these eight plants will prevent the emission of some 750,000 tons of CO2 into the atmosphere per year, thus presenting a real and non-polluting alternative to fossil fuels, among other advantages.

Knowledge about the various solar technologies and their latest innovations also allows us to offer the efficiency and sustainability that are demanded.
